WFC connects with women founders at CSW55
Would WFC miss an opportunity to connect with women founders? Never! And that’s why Women Founders Collective (WFC) was back again in New York City, offering Discussion Groups at the 55th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW55). Every year for two weeks, beginning the end of February, women from around the world converge on the UN to attend these sessions. And that influx of women provides WFC with an exceptional opportunity to meet women founders (and future founders) from everywhere.
This year, WFC’s Discussion Groups, held at the Vanderbilt YMCA, brought together women from South Africa, Gambia, Senegal, Nigeria, Ghana, Greece and the USA, including Hawaii. Women founders and future founders in almost equal numbers came together in fruitful, lively and productive conversation, a first for many of the women present. The photo below (taken in front of the YMCA logo), captures the delight women expressed in being able to share joys and concerns founders face, no matter where we live.
